BLT brings  Kabuliwala Calling at Bangalore 
 A children’s theatre presentation

Joining in Rabindranath Tagore’s 160th birth anniversary celebrations, BLT brings Vijay Padaki’s original stage adaptation of Tagore’s Kabuliwala.

The adaptation of the play here, while being true to the original, explores the view of the story by the Afghans of Kolkata, better known as Kabuliwalas to the locals. Historical details of the Kabuliwala community provide the context to the story.

Vijay Padaki has written, designed and co-directed the play. He is back on stage after a long hiatus.

The show opens this 26th February at  Alliance Francaise de Bangalore. There will be more public shows. In-house  shows for institutions  and schools are also planned.
