Untitled explores the various conflicts and issues around an unwanted child. It is a common phenomenon in many cultures to prefer a boy child. The girl child on the other hand is unwanted and often killed. What if the child was neither? This is the very question that Bangalore Little Theatre’s latest production Untitled makes us think about. An original play written by Vijay Padaki, Untitled follows the life of one such child. The play juggles between two timeframes, spanning 20 years, observing the conflicts in a family that had an unwanted child and the present circumstances of the grown-up individual.
ROUND-UP 2012 saw a wonderful medley of productions, from thrillers to comedy, and from Classics to original plays. This year theatre enthusiasts have a lot more to look forward to, says SRAVASTI DATTA
